Lead (Fund-Raising)

In this role, the Fund-raising Lead will use expert leadership, communication skills and a keen sense of initiative to make fund raising proposal & presentations, spot fundraising opportunities, develop relationships with potential donors, pitch programmes, and organise  fundraising campaigns. 

The Fund-raising Lead would help UTSAH to get closer to its financial goals, and ensure that we are never fund-constrained.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, professional, and organized and have a knack for research. We’re looking for someone who believes in the mission of UTSAH and has exceptional drive for furthering our fundraising efforts as well as strategizing and delivering on new ones.

• Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and work
• Cultivate a network of dedicated donors and volunteers
• Spot new fundraising opportunities
• Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals
• Form strong relationships with external stakeholders
• Ensure major donors are satisfied and kept in the loop

• Research individuals, corporations, and foundations that are interested in funding
• Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors
• Write grant applications and fundraising proposals, and presentations
• Pitch proposals to funders
• Strategize and successfully execute fundraising campaigns
• Organize fundraising events and initiatives
• Manage a budget and track whether goals are being met

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent in English
• Ability to lead and motivate colleagues 
• Strong attention to detail
• Passion for research
• Ability to successfully balance priorities while managing multiple tasks and planning big events
• Ability to travel 

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in communications, business, public relations, or related field 
• Competence with donor management systems
• Excellent in writing grant proposals, making PPTs, press releases, and fundraising letters
• Confidence in public speaking

• INR 35,000/month - INR 50,000/month based on experience and aptitude
