Coordinator - POCSO Centre

We are seeking an experienced and committed social work professional to lead and strengthen frontline child protection responses for children affected by child sexual abuse.


This position is situated at the POCSO Centre, Guwahati, and involves direct engagement with children and families navigating the justice and support systems. 


The Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that services remain timely, professional, child-centered, and uninterrupted.


The selected candidate will lead the casework team while independently managing cases, overseeing documentation processes, supervising interventions, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that every child and family approaching the Centre receives responsive and rights-based support.

3–4 years of experience in child protection, gender-based violence (GBV), social work, or related sectors

Remuneration
₹40,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake direct casework with children affected by child sexual abuse
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support services
  • Conduct needs assessments and safety planning
  • Manage case documentation and case records
  • Coordinate with Police, Courts, Child Welfare Committees, hospitals, and allied systems
  • Facilitate referrals and ensure continuity of support
  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation standards
  • Supervise and manage the casework team at the POCSO Centre


The role requires working within the frameworks of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Juvenile Justice system, with the ability to apply these frameworks in practice.

  • Ability to collect, organise, and analyse case-related information

Case Worker - POCSO Centre

We are seeking committed and capable social work professionals to strengthen frontline child protection responses for children affected by child sexual abuse in Kamrup Metro District, Assam.


This position is based at the POCSO Centre, Guwahati, and involves direct engagement with children and families navigating child protection, legal, and support systems. 


The Case Worker will play a critical role in ensuring that services remain timely, professional, child-centered, and uninterrupted.

The selected candidates will independently manage cases, ensure accurate and timely documentation, maintain quality standards in service delivery, and support children and families through a responsive and rights-based approach.
